My favorite hobby….Fishing! If I could get paid doing so, I would do it all day every day! LOL! I love the calmness of the water, the sounds of nature, and the excitement of catching fish! I began fishing as a little boy and would go with my father. There were also summers when I would stay with my grandparents. While there, me and my friends in the neighborhood would go all day every single day. We used to get a loaf of bread for $.50 and catch catfish, and use it as bait to catch other smaller fish or crawfish to use as bait for other types of fish.
As I got much older and learned about different levels of quality, features, and technology with fishing rods and reels, I began to purchase better equipment. Some of the equipment that I purchased would cost well over $250. I learned a valuable lesson one day when one of my friends purchased a really nice rod. He had just taken the tags off just before we left for the trip. After I closed the tailgate of his 4Runner, I saw the top piece of his fishing rod bounce off of the ground. I feel horrible. I paid him immediately after doing that, as well as learning a very valuable lesson from that. I never forgot about that.
That experience as well as others come to mind when traveling in your vehicle with fishing rods: Fishing rods can take up a lot of space when needing to be mindful of what could fall on them and break them. They can be easily broken. You can store your rods outside of your vehicle of the front or roof, but your risk: The chance of them getting damaged by road debris or stolen when you need to stop and leave your vehicle for a bathroom break, stop in a restaurant, or pay for fuel..
This is what inspired me to come up with a solution that allows you to store your fishing rods inside your vehicle above your head close to the ceiling of your vehicle. This will allow you to have all of your space back below to stack other items such as luggage, coolers, and many other items. By using the same storage equipment for your vehicle, you can use it to store your fishing rods on the wall (vertical or horizontal) or ceiling inside of your garage or room of your choice in your home. Not only can you use this for the storage of your fishing rods, but you can also use this for garage organization for brooms, mops, shovels, rakes, etc.
